1989 was the year that Pastor Bandu came to know Jesus as Savior.  He was raised in a religion that preaches hate against Chrisitians, yet, God's mercy met him when he committed his life to the service of the King (Jesus!) and entered the waters of baptism in 1992.  He served as a servant leader in a church for 12 years before being sent to Shalom Full Gospel Tabernacle in Benishangul-Gumuz last January, where he was installed as the Senior Pastor.
 
Pastor Bandu has been trained in various seminars and programs offered by the Blair Foundation in Ethiopia.  He is fervent for the Lord and it has been determined that at least three other church plants will be birthed from this congregation!

Please join us in praying for Pastor Bandu, his family and the furthering of the gospel in a territory that heretofore has not had the opportunity to hear the Good News and embrace the message of the cross!  We are believing for a bountiful harvest in this territory, with signs and wonders accompanying the preaching of His Word!

The January, 2007, report shows 3 salvations, 18 in attendance and 4 children under the age of 16. Prayer is requested for the pastor and new converts to stand firmly. 

Leaves of Healing Tabernacle

In 1996, the Lord spoke to Lorraine about planting a church called Leaves Of Healing Tabernacle. For many years she pondered this in her heart and prayed for the Lord's perfect timing!

In March of 2006, the Lord directed Lorraine to begin to look for the launching site for Leaves Of Healing Tabernacle. As a confirmation to the Lord’s timing, Frank, Lorraine's husband who worked in retail for 36 years, was unexpectedly given an early retirement in May, 2006.

Leaves Of Healing Tabernacle was born on July 14, 2006, fulfilling the Lord’s call to raise up a church that would embrace the fullness of God’s glory in Jesus, the Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit! The vision is now coming to pass as Lorraine, Frank, their son, Todd, also licensed and ordained, her Dad, “Bud” with his wife Nancy, their younger son, Scott and an amazing ministry team of greatly gifted leaders unite to obey the call of the Lord!

The Leaves Of Healing name was inspired by the words of Ezekiel: "Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine (healing)." Ezekiel 47:12. These words speak of the sacred "river of God" that flows from the temple bringing healing waters upon the Church, reviving and restoring God's children. This river is tree-lined with fruit bearing trees; and the leaves of the trees are for healing!
