Pastors

Lorraine and Brother Frank Coconato

Brother Frank and Pastor Lorraine Coconato have been married since 1973!  They both were born and raised in New York and transplanted to Los Angeles because of Frank's advancement in the retail business.
Brother Frank retired after 37 years of work in May, 2006, just before the birth of Leaves of Healing Tabernacle (“LOHT”) in July.  Frank and Lorraine have two sons, Pastor Todd, an assistant pastor and worship leader at LOHT and Scott, a young man who is being healed from the effects of a serious childhood illness!

Pastor Lorraine graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Master's of Divinity degree. She has traveled widely, ministering God's Word to the saints and spreading the "good news" of salvation in Jesus Christ.   Lorraine also serves on several ministry boards and actively works to unite five-fold ministry leaders in prayer for Los Angeles. She has a passion to see souls saved and the saints discipled in the ways of the Lord Jesus; particularly the Entertainment/Media people in Hollywood.

Pastor Lorraine mentors Christian leaders; she loves to see them soar in the things of the Lord. She also partners with leaders and ministries to help equip, empower and release youth into God’s purposes and plans!  Lorraine loves the Jewish people and partners with several Messianic believers and ministries.  She currently is Vice President of the Israel Christian Nexus under the leadership of General Shimon Erem.

Brother Frank and Pastor Lorraine desire to see revival in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley!

Todd Coconato

Pastor Todd Coconato is the eldest of two sons of Pastor Lorraine and Brother Frank.  He is a gifted singer, songwriter, worship leader and preacher. He ministers at Leaves of Healing Tabernacle weekly, as well as in other venues.

Todd works for Calvin Klein, a subsidiary of Van Heusen, where he travels and merchandises designated departments and coordinates assortments.  He also oversees and trains others who work in his department.

Pastor Todd started in ministry at the age of 10.  Under the leadership of Pastor Carl Burns, he was placed on the worship team of Chatsworth Foursquare Church, where he served for eight years. Todd left the Lord’s service for a season, returning after a life-transforming experience with Jesus at a Pastor's Convention in Hawaii. Todd returned to ministry in serving as a youth worker at The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California. Pastor Todd took classes at the Kings College and Seminary.

He currently serves as an assistant pastor to Pastor Lorraine and leads the worship ministries at Leaves of Healing Tabernacle.

Michael and Sister Holly Wenger

Michael and Holly Wenger were married June 16, 2006.  Both grew up in the same hometown of Berne, Indiana.  However, their paths didn’t cross until 2004.

Michael graduated from Cedarville College in 1999 and then from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary in 2002. That same year Michael began “Stronghold Ministries” – a ministry reaching out to men and women in the professional bodybuilding and fitness industry.  Not long after, Michael accepted a call to be the head pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Berne, where he pastored until July of 2004.

Then along came Holly…Holly was attending Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana, and she and Michael met during her summer break.  The only difficulty in the new relationship was that Michael was leaving for Los Angeles to continue the work of Stronghold Ministries; not only in ministering to people in the bodybuilding and fitness industry, but also to people in the Entertainment Industry in Hollywood.  After 2 years of dating, and Holly graduating from college, they were married in Indiana and on their way to California as husband and wife.

Michael and Holly currently reside in Studio City where Michael continues to direct Stronghold Ministries and Holly works in retail.  In addition, Holly is on the worship team at Leaves of Healing Tabernacle, and Michael and Holly both oversee the children’s ministry at the church.

Roger and Barbara were saved in 1978. Roger attended church as a boy, but drifted away from the Lord as an adult. During a time of personal and family trouble, Roger had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Allen’s have two children, Brian and Elizabeth. Brian and his wife Adeline live in Los Angeles. Brian works in graphic arts production for a publishing company. Adeline is preparing to be a lawyer. Both serve the Lord in their local church.  Elizabeth lives in Astoria Oregon where she serves on the staff of her church.

Roger was an owner and executive in the graphic arts industry until he sold his company in 1993 to focus on ministry.  He has served on the boards of various non profit organizations and was elected to the leadership council of his church. Roger founded Glory Communications International in 1995 to serve churches and ministries in management and communications. Roger also teaches and ministers healing and deliverance.

Don Schmidt

Donald’s parents dedicated him to Jesus at the age of 6 months on October 13, 1929 at Angeles Temple, the first Foursquare Church in Los Angeles under the leadership of Aimee Simple McPherson.

As a boy, Donald attended a small church in Burbank California where he accepted Jesus as his savior at age seven. Later, when Don was 15, he walked away from his commitment to Jesus, setting his eyes on the things of the world. Almost 50 years later, at age 62, Don rededicated his life to Jesus Christ on April 21, 1996 at the Church On The Way in Van Nuys California.

Don recognizes that the Lord had answered the prayers of his sister, who faithfully prayed for him over 40 years, and the prayers of his parents being instrumental to the grace that brought him back to Jesus.

While walking in the world, Donald married and fathered three children. Over time Don and his wife succumbed to the pressures of sin and self will and were divorced.

Don attended Glendale Junior College, majoring in Business Administration. He worked all of his professional life in the construction industry becoming a land developer, general contactor and construction superintendent on large building projects.

Don serves as head usher at the Church on The Way and on the prayer room ministry teams. Don also serves as an elder, head usher and prayer team member at Leaves of Healing Tabernacle. Don has recently completed courses at King’s College and Seminary in healing and deliverance.
