More than a month into 2009 we see a rapidly changing world that appears to travel the gamut from extreme to ultra extreme!  Have you ever seen the TV show, "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition?"  It a series where the crew takes a run down home or a home that belongs to a memorable individual or family that has impacted this world in fruitful ways and completely remakes it, inside and out!  People line the street cheering as the vacationing family returns to see the amazing work that has been accomplished in renovating their home and often, renovating their lives!

            Jesus is doing an "extreme makeover" in His Church.  The financial pressures, the loss of jobs, the change in government, religious bigotry and the overt sin of “Christians” and nonbelievers have put extreme pressure on the church. What will be the result?  Those that are not rooted in Christ will fall away. Those with Christ will prosper. This prosperity of the true Gospel is not financial, it is Spiritual!  Spiritual prosperity will lead to financial provision in Christ Jesus.

            From the beginning of the church, we committed to the Lord Jesus that we would be a New Covenant Church, not just talking about Him, but walking with Him and believing that He would by His power and grace build His church. Our commitment is to submit to Him, love Him, obey Him and walk in His Spirit. We pray for everyone who wants prayer at every service. We love everyone no matter their background or status in life.

            We thank the Lord for the growth in 2008. We continue to set the foundation for our discipleship program by teaching and establishing relational meetings. During 2008 we set the foundation for our men’s and women’s ministries and birthed a worship arts ministry.

            On April 3^rd we begin our services in a larger facility in Chatsworth that will afford us many more ministries opportunities!  This is an “effectual door” of the Lord in providing us with our own church building. All praise to Jesus! 

            We have been blessed to share a facility with another church for the last 2 ½ years. Both churches have grown, therefore, making it necessary to transition to our own place. An “Extreme Makeover” is happening!  We are delighted to be His instruments and to be “hands of healing” to this generation!  May God renovate us each day and fill us with His wondrous love to be conduits of salvation and deliverance in the San Fernando Valley and beyond!

            In these times of extremist views, propaganda and liberalism, I pray that you walk closer to Jesus and find comfort in His extreme and extravagant love!  May His strength, hope, wisdom and blessing manifest in your life. May these words of truth resonate in your hearts, "See then that you walk circumspectly (carefully), not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:15-17  

          May the Lord richly bless you as we go from glory to glory!
