The “I-Lets” of Heaven!

“Let your yes be yes and your no be no!” Matthew 5: 37. (Say what you mean and mean what you say!)

“…let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 6. (Pray with ceasing! 1 Thessalonians 5: 17).

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth but what is good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to the hearers. (Ephesians 4: 29, Let your words build, not destroy!)

Let peace rule in your heart…(Colossians 3:15a, Rule out all other possibilities!)

Let your enemies be scattered…Numbers 10: 35. (Trust God to do this! He is your defense!)

“Let those who hate you flee before you.” Numbers 10:35. (If God be for you who can be against you!!!)

“…Let not your good be spoken evil of!” (Romans 14: 16, He will speak well of you in the gates of your city-home, office, etc. as you faithfully serve Him!)

“…let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God,” 2 Corinthians 7: 1. (Sanctify yourself daily before our Holy God!)

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5: 16. (Shine for Him, even when they malign you and slander your name!)

“…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” Hebrews 12: 1b, 2a. (He will complete that good work that He began in you! Phil. 1: 6)

“…let us love one another, for love is of God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4: 7 (May love be our logo!)

“Let not your heart be troubled…” John 14: 1a. (In these unusual times, unusual things will happen, but keep focused on the One who watches over you and He will give you peace!)

Prayer: Dearest Lord: Let us be aligned with Your divine pattern and plan for our lives! May our behaviors be Christ-like and our unseemly ways of the past be cast into the sea of forgetfulness! Stitch our hearts with Your insignia and may we wear a garment labeled by Our Heavenly Designer, sewn with the I-Lets of Your benevolent love, in Jesus Name, Amen!
