The Artist Within Me

Genesis 1:1a, Beresheet bara Elohim, "In the beginning, God created..." Reflecting on the creative attributes of God, we realize that we are created in His "image and likeness," giving us the ability to "create!" 

Los Angeles and all of California offers breathtaking landscapes, beautiful mountain ranges, snow-capped winter peaks and foamy waves that wash the beachfronts!  All this glory He has availed to the eyes of each beholder, causing us to be filled with awe for the wonders of our Creative Lord! 

God IS creative, therefore, we are each given gifts of creativity, ranging from the artistic skills of oil painting, sculpting, writing, carpentry gifts of building and renovating, sewing and tailoring, cooking and decorating, singing and playing musical instruments; the list is endless!  God calls us to strive to cultivate Christ-like characteristics, thus, I am called to reflect God's creative attributes!

Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." 

This Bible verse reveals that God created each of us for a purpose that we might be creative and show forth evidence that His workmanship is always good! 

All of us can create!  Divine creativity grows within us, His sons and daughters, as we draw closer to Him and develop a daily connectedness to Him! 

So, Daniels (men of God) and Deborah's, (women of God) let's ask Jesus to guide our hands, our hearts, our lives and our relationships, today and everyday, as we discover the "Artist Within Me"  and create something wonderful for His glory and namesake in Jesus Name, Amen!
