Jesus is God Enough!
 

The Church of Jesus, the Christ, has always been founded on the Rock of our salvation, Jesus, the Living and Glorious Christ, the Chief Cornerstone, the Redeemer, the Healer, the Savior (Messiah) of the World!   Can I hear an Amen!


      Paul, the Apostle's words are undeniably strong in 1 Corinthians 3: 10-11 saying, "According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation and another builds on it.  For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."  Speaking of the household of God, the Body of Christ, Paul spoke in Ephesians 2: 20, "Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone."  Verses 21-22 go on to say, "In whom the whole building being fitted together, grows into a holy temple of the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit."
 
       There is no other foundation, no other new way to build the Body, but the foundation of He who was and is and is to come, the Exalted Christ!

      God's Word is absolute truth!  Men can deny it, twist it, misquote it, but no matter what man does, God's Word endures forever and will not be invalidated by the teachings, proclamations and determinations of men! Hallelujah!

       For years, we who walk in His majestic grace, have been warned, by God's Word and sincere prophetic voices, that a day would come when Jesus is not enough anymore!!!  Matthew 24: 5, "For many will come in My name saying, I am the Christ and will deceive many." Matthew 24: 24 says, "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect."

       These are not casual warnings, these are Spirit-breathed, Christ-declared words that are to be heeded!  Most seriously, it's happening now, folks, when people are looking for a deeper healing, more deliverance, more signs and wonders, more hooplah and all that jazz, because for unfortunate reasons, it appears, especially among certain circles, that Jesus is not enough anymore!

        Living in this age of jet-speed schedules, advanced technology, info-mercials, instant everything, people of God are searching for a new model, a new Jesus, an upgraded version! 

        Do you think that maybe we are living in a Matthew 24 moment?  Verse 8 says, And these are the beginning of sorrows. Is there anything more sorrowful than a Body of believers who have locked Jesus out of their meetings?

       The Name of Jesus and it's inherent power cannot be displaced by doctrines of men, angels or demons! Gold dust, gems, oily hands, unusual signs are appearing among the brethren and we need to be discerning and cautious that we don't allow
these things to ensnare us and take our focus off the Miracle-Worker, the Miracle-Maker, Jesus Christ, our Lord!  The Lord can do anything He desires, as He is all powerful, but the problem is not with Him or unusual manifestions, the problem lies with the recipient of these miracles and the manner in which they "promo" their ministries/churches!  This is when confusion and wrong doctrines are birthed, as the "miracle sign or wonder" becomes the prominent focus of the leader and his/her ministry, instead of the Miracle Sign Maker, Jesus, the Christ!   

        Jesus and Him, Alone, avails full forgiveness to us from sin and unrighteous living.  (1 John 1: 9).  Jesus and Him, Alone, affords the repentant sinner the gift of water baptism, depicting cleansing and new life in Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit that empowers us to be instruments for His Namesake!  (Acts 2: 38)  Jesus and Him, Alone, gives the blind sight (Mark 10: 47) and heals lepers! (Luke 17: 13).

       He graciously uses us, His followers, to be conduits of His power on earth!  But, we cannot put ourselves in the same category as Him, as we are limited and He is limitless!

       Because He is good and because He is God, (and always has been) He, Alone, dispatches angels to guard us,  those who find their refuge in Him and delivers us from the evils of the day!  (Psalm 91: 9-11)

       Man cannot deploy angels, man cannot create a "new" Jesus that fits in with his own contemporary theology and doctrine for if he does, he will surely be chastised for such unsubstantiated teaching!

       There is nothing deeper, nothing more powerful, nothing more glorious and divine than the Name above all names, Jesus, (Yeshua in Hebrew), the God of Salvation, who, Alone, delivers us from sin, darkness, wrong thinking and eternal destruction!   "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name (italicized for emphasis!) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2: 9-11) 

       His exaltation is divine, His Lordship is universal, His Headship is sure to the Body of Christ forever!  He is Supreme, God of all and King of the universe!  Who will stand against Him?

       We are not persuaded by strange signs and wonders, we are not moved by the doctrines of men, that disguise truth and pervert the Word!  But we are persuaded by Jesus, the Living Word, that He will fulfill all that He has declared and that He is God enough and good enough, from eternity to eternity in Jesus Name, Amen!
