Curdled Milk

Exodus 3: 6-8, 'Moreover He (God) said, "I am the God of your father- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said, "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.'

"Got milk?" This has become a famous ad campaign for a company that has spoken a prophetic word, though they don't under- stand the spiritual implications of this statement!

The Mosaic Covenant was spoken, established and confirmed by miraculous signs and wonders to a generation of hard working Hebrews centuries ago through a man raised as a prince in Egypt, who learned to shepherd on the backside of the desert! (Ex. 3: 2) Though his upbringing was extravagant, his training for ministry was painful, arduous and other than lovely in a hot and sweaty desert, near the mountain of God!

The Hebrew children were "oppressed," overworked & pressurized by extreme circumstances that restricted a healthy flow of life and blessing. Their suffering caused cries of despair and woe to come to the ears of the God of Creation! Their oppressor, noneother than the Pharaoh of Egypt, a man likened to "god" by his people, purposely attempted to suffocate the Breath of the Spirit in their lives and families! His mandates put a clamp on the "respiratory system" of the Hebrew children, choking out the divine possibilities ordained by the Living God!

This constriction and oppression cause a lack of oxygenation (enriched with oxygen) polluting the capacities of the Hebrew children from fulfilling their divine destiny, to be set free to worship the Lord!

The result was "curdled milk," calcified hearts (like Pharaoh), bitterness and misery!

Similarly, the pollutants of this age, eg. smoking, intoxicants, smog, food preservatives, pestilence (disease) have caused bodies to break down, allowing disease to rise and rule! These pollutants, coupled with a submission to the spirit of Pharaoh, have deceived God's people to become "stiff-necked" and hardened to the voice of the Spirit, preventing our entry into the land of promise, a land flowing with milk and honey! We have covenanted with the wrong god (Pharaoh) and have soured the intended blessings of the Lord!

Isaiah 55: 1 says, "Ho! Everyone who thirsts come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price." Psalm 81: 13-16 calls to us, "Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, (Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites...!) and turn My hand against their adver- saries. The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him, but their fate would endure forever. He would fed them (us) also with the finest of wheat; and with honey (sweetness despite hardship!) from the rock I would have satisfied you." 2 Peter 2: 1, "Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious."

Got milk? Drink deeply and walk in His sweetness!

Father God: Forgive us for submitting to the spirit of Pharaoh that chokes out Your life and possibilities! Pharaoh and the Pharaoh-like governments of this age, are not our God, for You, Alone, are mighty and able to deliver us from our oppressions! We do not want to milk our own desires anymore, dear Lord! We do not want bitterness and curdling to be our milk and meat! But, we do want You, precious Lord, to be landowner and the only Agent of our estate in Jesus Name, Amen!
